Finally, you are now in your last year in college and you are about to stride with pride on your graduation. However, you still have to go through one last test which will determine if you could pass the final board exam. The HESI or Health Education Services Inc. test is a way to gauge your competency in having a passing rate in taking the NCLEX. This test contains sub tests covering various topics, such as reading comprehension, vocabulary and general knowledge, grammar, critical thinking situations, basic math skills, anatomy and physiology, biology and chemistry. Each question can be answered by multiple choices and you can choose from 5 sets of answers. This process may be exasperating to the majority of nursing students, but it would still give them an edge in having a passing rate.

Usually, you will be taking a HESI practice test twice or thrice before taking the final HESI test. Remember that the HESI practice test is generally much harder than the actual exam, in view of the fact that it would prepare you better. They say that practice makes perfect, so be more conscientious in reviewing for the exam. Create you own test taking and reviewing strategies. Making it personalized would reinforce the knowledge, which you already gained all throughout the entire academic program.

Hesi Practice Test

Here are some of the strategies in reviewing for the final and practice HESI test. The first and most essential strategy would be to give an allotted time for studying. Each day, you must allocate a specific time reviewing, depending on what time of the day you are at ease and seriously focused. The application of knowledge is much more relevant than concentrating on mere facts. Next is to use flash cards, study guides, NCLEX review materials and take online practice tests. These would really help in intensifying your knowledge on test taking strategies. It may cost you a lot, but it would be a good investment for your chosen career. Lastly, health is wealth so you must not allow yourself to be overly stressed about the whole test taking thing. Don't sleep too late to study and never study on an empty stomach. Your brain would absorb more if you are in greater health, so give yourself some break once in a while. Besides, if you have learned all the things you've encountered all those years in your academic program by heart, then there is no doubt that you would pass the HESI and NCLEX exam.
